What do you wear when you are tuning your body?
First, let me say - I’m a front runner candidate for “What Not to Wear” on TLC. I practically live in my work out clothes because of the nature of what I do locally (in person sessions almost always include some sort of physical activity, whether it’s Qigong, Yoga, strength training, or cardio). If you watch the show, you probably know Stacy and Clinton’s feelings on workout wear. The practical side of me says it’s crazy to wear multiple outfits every day, so, I usually dress in the morning for my entire day’s schedule!
With that being said…..I know that many of my clients also wear either leggings or sweat pants or some variation….For me, leggings, even though they don’t block my flow or hinder movement, didn’t quite fit with my modest views. I hated working out at the gym with leggings on, and definitely wouldn’t teach class with them on. After all, when I’m working, I don’t want my clothing distracting my clients. And when I’m working out, I don’t want to be the focus of anyone in the gym!
On the other hand, sweats look, well, sloppy - especially for me. I can’t buy my regular smalls or even a go up to the next size in sweats since I’m 5′ 10″. If I even attempt it, I will look like I’m ready for the next great flood. So, I learned a little secret from my niece how to find pants (sweat pants in particular) that would cover my long legs. Of course, the downside to that is that they are still much to big for me, so, they were very sloppy looking.
So, what’s a stylish girl to do? We want to look good at work, when working out, and at play, right? I am excited to say that I’ve found a solution - thanks to one of my wonderful clients!

I was recently introduced to the most wonderful company that solved ALL that, and had to share them with you. Actually, one of my clients introduced me to this company by wearing a pair of their pants to one of our sessions. She is tall, like I am, and has the same length issues in pants. When I saw her, I have to admit I was really skeptical - I didn’t think there was any possibility that she would be able to get through the entire session, which included yoga that day, with those pants on. I mean, really - she looked like she could leave our session and head straight to the office! The pants were crisp but flowed and were feminine in their flow. I was shocked when she was able to keep up during the yoga section of our session, with the most complex, “flexibility required” asanas. All the while, looking so pulled together and picturesque in these pants!
After our session, I asked her about the pants. I could see the quality, but, was amazed at how lovely they looked while still being extraordinarily movement-oriented. She told me that she bought the pants at Girl Skirt Mission. So, I made myself a note to check them out and WOW….first, you’ve GOT to take a look at their flash movie/demo on the Girls Skirt Mission home page - it has a great message! Then, get shopping (after the movie plays, click on the “skip demo” link so that you can get into the site OR, click on the first link above - which skips the flash movie and gets you to where you want to go!)
I now have 2 pairs of their wrap pants - INCREDIBLE! I can slip them on first thing in the morning and work from my studio, go to in person client sessions, give a seminar, or go to an event in the same pants - these are FABULOUS! The pants (and I think the skirts - although, I haven’t ordered a skirt yet), are created from handloom cotton - it feels like the cashmere of cotton…soft and flowing, lovely against the skin. It has ALL the great benefits of cotton, but, they definitely don’t look like work out wear! That’s where another of the great features of the pants come into play:
All the wrap pants have a reinforced gusset (crotch area), so even the most flexible moves can be done without worrying about your clothing’s response! Love that!
The pants are preshrunk and because they wrap, there is a several size range that everyone can wear. They do state that if you are 5′ 10″ or above, you should buy XL or above. Now, you all know that with my size 6 frame, I don’t EVER buy an XL…but, I thought maybe, since these pants are designed to “wrap”, it would be ok….and they look so wonderful, and feel even better. Better yet, for all you tall folks (like me), they are LONG ENOUGH! Hurray - finally a company that understands there are tall people in the world!
The wrap of the pants is wonderful - and will definitely create a long lean line on almost everyone. And, maybe even better than all the rest, it’s easy to feel like a girl in these pants.
So, go ahead…..surf over to Girl Skirt Mission and get a few pairs of the wrap pants and as they say….wear these skirts (and wrap pants) when you are feeling full or life, or when you forget you are full of life - to remind you love your life, love your skirt (or wrap pants!).

I was recently turned on to a website that’s been around for a year, and an idea that started a few years ago, that has a unique look at how we should choose what foods we consume (sort of). Here’s the long and short on it: Eat foods grown locally.
Sounds simple, right? I mean there’s nothing quite like going to the local farmer’s market on a breezy summer morning and picking up some fresh-from-the-field produce….or some great organic, locally baked bread (oh my, our farmer’s market has this guy that brings the MOST WONDERFUL organic bread, made one loaf at a time with incredible ingredients that are fresh and locally grown! yum! My mouth waters just thinking about it!)

I am a huge proponent of eating organic whenever possible, buying as fresh as possible, as close to the source as possible. I believe, and some research has shown, that the sooner you eat fresh foods or the closer to the source you are, the more nutritious the food is. This makes sense since once food is separated from it’s nourishment (i.e. the plant or tree which it grows on), it begins to die - well, technically, it dies as soon as it’s separated from its source. So, each moment from the time it is separated from its source until you actually eat it, the degradation process is moving along, and it’s losing more of its wonderful nutrients that your body wants and needs.
So, the idea behind the 100 mile diet is one that I really embrace. Is it always possible? Maybe not - depending on where you live….but, that doesn’t mean that it’s completely impossible. I can’t think of one inhabited area of the planet that doesn’t have food grown or raised within 100 miles. Of course, I know, you are thinking that I live in the middle of farm country, so, that’s easy for me to say. But, understand that, even though I DO live in Iowa, there are many farms in my 100 mile radius that you couldn’t PAY me to eat from! Remember, we are living in the age of commercial agriculture. Simply buying something directly from a farmer really isn’t ensuring that it’s organic, or that it’s the best for your body. Sad, yes, but, very true.
While I’m focused on the nutrition and health benefits of eating locally grown, fresh, and organic, there is also an environmental aspect to this as well which is covered at the 100 Mile Diet website.
The 100 Mile Diet website has some great information, and super getting started tips - based on REAL experience (that’s always refreshing, isn’t it?!?), so surf over and check it out when you have the chance.

Have you ever thought about the term and idea behind an “alarm” clock? Do you really want to wake up to an “alarm”?? Think about it….alarms….fire alarm, tornado alarm - the list of “alarms” are longer than my arm! I’m not sure “alarm” is the state our bodies should be in - ever!
As my clients know, I have a major problem with most alarm clocks. Most of them literally shock you out of bed, starting your waking day in a state of “fight-or-flight”. The “ALARM” you - and your body responds in like manner. Starting your day with your mind, body, and spirit in that elevated emotional response state is definitely not framing your day in a calm, peaceful way. Without even realizing it, you are unconciously starting your day in a stressed emotional, physical, and mental state. Possibly even worse - you may have been waking up this way for so long, you don’t even realize that you are waking your body in a fight or flight stressed state!
For quite some time, I’ve searched for a way to avoid this shock-stress wakening for both myself and my clients. I’ve even trained myself to wake up BEFORE the alarm goes off - so that I don’t have to awaken my body in a stressed state. I understand that this is not something that everyone can do, though - particularly for those who are under-rested and live in a state of constant sleep deprivation.
I’ve finally found the answer to this problem, though, and am delighted to share my secret with you.

Enter “Now & Zen” - the home of absolutely the BEST “alarm” clocks on the market!! Their slogan, “quality of thought, stillness of mind” really says it all. Their incredible clocks (they also carry other products), gently awaken you….think back to the days of your childhood…..hopefully, you were gently awakened - maybe with a nudge or kind words from your mother. These fabulous Zen Alarm Clocks (they also have great digital alarm clocks, too!) wake you up in that same gentle manner…..gradually allowing your body to transition from a sleeping to waking state. I can’t describe what a difference this makes for myself and my clients….you simply are giving yourself the gift of beginning your day peacefully and easily.
Once you get a Zen Alarm Clock, gone are the days of shattering your sleeping state in ALARM mode. My clients have told me that they were skeptical at first, but, are amazed at how wonderful they feel and how easy it is for them to wake up now. My snooze-alarm champions even tell me that they don’t even WANT a snooze button….they simply wake up and get moving - instead of hitting the snooze dozens of times. Personally, I LOVE my Zen Alarm Clock - and couldn’t imagine waking up any other way (and don’t have to “worry” about oversleeping because I don’t want to wake up in a stressed state!)
This is simply a hands-down, must-have product for yourself and EVERYONE you love that needs to wake up at a certain time every day! Visit Now & Zen now, take some time to look around, and definitely pick up a Zen Alarm Clock while you are there - you will throw out every alarm clock in your house once you experience this incredible, gentle wakening tool. Enjoy!

Many years ago, I realized that my attitude and my thoughts greatly impacted my entire life. However, it wasn’t until later that I realized I had only scratched the surface of that power.
The turning point - when I really began to realize what incredible power our mind has to influence not only our circumstances, but, also our physical self - was when I delivered my third child. During the pregnancy, I interviewed an incredible woman who believed that, through the power of the mind, a woman could experience child birth in a completely new way. This appealed to me, frankly, because I had two children and was definitely not looking forward to going through the birthing experience again. After we spoke, I immediately bought a book and set of tapes, and determined that I would change the way I looked at the birthing experience and see for myself if it would be different by simply changing my mind.First, I had to get rid of all my notions about what childbirth was and was not. How I was told it should be before my first child was born and how I had experienced it during the birth of my older children were beliefs and experiences that I needed to shift in my mind. I made the decision that childbirth didn’t have to be painful. It could be a beautiful, quiet experience. My brain and I played many games because at first this felt like a lie….I would think “it will be beautiful and quiet”…my brain would counter “Are you insane?” - and so on. However, I persisted. I continued to visualize, I learned about colors and how they affected my mood…I learned to visualize intense colors to change my internal thoughts and feelings - I learned about music therapy and aromatherapy…..and then the day arrived when it was time to test out all this information and practice.
It was actually night. The doctors made the decision, due to my health (which I will get to!), that they needed to induce my youngest daughter almost a month early. My stress level could have been through the roof - actually, it probably *should have been* through the roof - but, it wasn’t. I just trusted and knew that everything was going to be beautiful and wonderful. They started the induction gently around midnight, and the waiting began. I was amazed as the contractions came and left, but, I didn’t feel the need to cry out in pain. When it came time to deliver, I hung up the phone with a friend that I had been talking to through most of my labor, called the nurse, and calmly told her that the baby was ready to come.
I honestly don’t think she believed me. The nurses (and my doctor) had commented on how quiet, calm, and relaxed I seemed - and none of them seemed to think that I could possibly be ready to deliver. After the nurse came in to check and verified that I was ready to deliver, my doctor arrived with an intern, asking if I would give permission for the intern to observe his first birth! I agreed, and after everyone got prepared and ready, my doctor said “I want you to give me a big push!” (yes, just like in the movies!! LOL) I looked down at him and said….”I’m not going to push….I’m just going to exhale.”
And, that’s exactly what I did….and my youngest daughter came into the world. I looked over at the intern who looked terribly disappointed. I knew that he was ready to see what the media feeds us - the screaming woman, the crying, the groaning….and, what I gave was a gentle exhalation. It was beautiful - and quiet (until my daughter’s first breath!). It was exactly what I had trained my mind to expect for all those months. And, it happened.
That is an awesome example of the power of your mind. And the power of your mind is something we discuss often during our holistic health coaching. Your mind and your thoughts have a tremendous influence on your health and circumstances. I used the experience of childbirth because it is a well-known MYTH that childbirth is painful, loud, and not a very fun experience. However, for those of you who are still wondering how much influence your thoughts and your mind have on your physical health, here’s another example:
As I mentioned, my doctors induced my labor with my daughter due to health concerns for me. Shortly before I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I was diagnosed with a chronic, incurable disease - SLE - commonly called lupus. I have discussed the symptoms and problems commonly associated with lupus previously, so, I will not go in depth here. As an overview, lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the body attacks itself. As I mentioned, it is not considered “curable” and is usually managed with high doses of immuno suppresssants or corticosteroids or a combination of those (and potentially other groups of drugs - depending on the individual, their type of lupus, and the manner that their body responds to treatment).
After my pregnancy, my physical health continued to decline and before my daughter turned a year old, the doctors had recommended to take drastic measures to get the lupus under control. I had spent almost 2 years listening to my doctors tell me how terrible the disease was and the best we could hope for is to control it - but, it would be cured…just dormant. During that time - even though I had witnessed the power of the mind during my childbirth experience - I felt helpless as far as the dis-ease was concerned. I went through with the drastic treatment that was recommended - and continued to feel worse and physically decline throughout.
After that course of treatment was finished, and I had some time to start processing everything going on, I realized that I might be able to change my body through the power of my mind. On my own, I gradually started decreasing the drugs that were being prescribed. (Disclaimer: I don’t recommend this method to anyone - my educational background gave me just enough knowledge about how to do this on my own that I was confident I could do it - and I was very in tune with my body by that time - if you are under the care of an allopathic physician, you need to consult your physician BEFORE you take any course of action.) At the same time, I started using visualization techniques, practicing medical QiGong, using aromatherapy, and changing my eating habits. All of this, however, started with me telling myself (over and over and over again) that my body was healthy and able to function properly. Yes, I played the game in my mind - my mind telling me I was lying….and me continually affirming my health and confidence in my body.
Now, when your body is attacking itself, it may seem like a lie to tell yourself that your body is healthy. Let me explain how I got there. First, the dis-ease I had did not damage certain parts of my body. I was able to move my fingers, wiggle my toes. I was able to use my arms, my legs….I reminded myself that THOSE “parts” - which contribute to the whole of my body - were healthy and unaffected. Therefore, I could tell myself that I was health and be grateful about the health in those areas. Gratitude is a powerful thing in the realm of the mind and spirit…..
As I continued along this path, I noticed that there were days I was pain free. There were an increasing number of days that I had physical energy. My thoughts were not as cloudy as they were the day before…..I began seeing change in my whole health. That encouraged me to continue on this path, and made my thoughts of health and harmony within my physical body more powerful. The further along I traveled on this path, the easier it was…..and I continue this process today.
The changes I made in my mind had a positive impact on my body. Health leads to health - it doesn’t matter where the health begins….it has a cascading effect. Yes, I made other changes in my life at the same time - however, it all started in my mind, with my mind, and was driven by my mind. The mind is an extraordinarily powerful tool that many people take for granted. “Thinking” is more that what we realize. We think millions of thoughts every day - many go completely unnoticed because much of the time, our minds are on autopilot.
Once you begin to harness the power of your mind, though, and become aware of your thoughts, your health - your circumstances - your life - your entire world can change. And, all you need to do is start with one thought.

If you aren’t quite sure which program is right for you, that’s okay! We work with you in your initial assessment and consultation to determine which program will work best for your schedule, your life, and your goals. Here’s how it works:

Once you decide you would like to work with your holistic health coach, you need to fill out a 5 minute assessment. During that assessment, you will be asked if you would like to share the information with your coach - you simply check yes and we will review the information to see if you would be a good fit for your holistic health coach. If requested, we will do a short follow up session at no charge, at which time we will let you know whether you would benefit from coaching sessions with your holistic health coach. Of course, you will also receive an email copy of your results from the assessment - a $9.95 value - at no charge!
After you are initially accepted as a client, you and your holistic health coach will schedule a time for your initial live assessment and consultation. This initial session generally takes about 1-1/2 hours, and can be completed in person or by phone. The investment for your initial assessment & consultation is $135. This initial assessment and consultation will result in a few suggestions and a plan of action that will get you moving in the right direction immediately, and will include recommendations about which program may be right for you. This isn’t something we will “force on you” - we will give you recommendations, based on our assessment and what your current state of health, drive, and schedule, and will leave the rest up to you. Once you choose your program, we will apply your initial investment for your initial live assessment and consultation towards your chosen program/package.
Once the initial session is finished, we will also email you a copy of your plan of action, and if you have scheduled regular sessions, we will also provide email access to your holistic health coach, where your holistic health coach checks in with you, and is available for quick questions, as well as private access to our client site which contains a wealth of information, recipes and, more - available to you 24 hours a day/7 days a week for as long as you are an active client.

Yes, its really that simple to get started! Once you decide you are ready to get started, simply start by filling out the short 5-minute assessment - remember to check the box during the assessment to share your results with your coach! We look forward to working with you soon!
**Group programs require that each member in the group is available for each appointment. Sessions are per group and not per individual. (For example, if you sign up for the group “Revive” program, 10 sessions will be scheduled for the group. If a member in the group is not available for a session, he or she will not receive a “make-up” individual session.)
All programs are recorded for you or your group (depending on whether you are in an individual or group program) and you will have private access to those recordings as a download in your private member area.

The following, written by David Stewart, is an excellent example of what I wrote about earlier today on the Art of Health, using essential oils in natural healing. I found it particularly interesting after writing my article earlier which stemmed from a conversation I had earlier this week.
I urge you to thoughtfully consider what Mr. Stewart is so eloquently explaining on the way our mind and spirit effects our body.
It’s All in Your Mind or Is It?
by David Stewart
We are told in Proverbs 23:7, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” When doctors cannot find a physical cause of an illness, they sometimes say, “It’s all in your head.” This is if to say, “It isn’t real. It is all in your imagination.” The implication is that it would be easy to fix the problem by simply changing your mind and controlling your thoughts and feelings.
While it is true that at least 80% of all the sicknesses and conditions we suffer have emotional, mental, and/or spiritual roots, it is not always easy to fix the problem even when one fully understands the non-physical causes. Controlling our thoughts and emotions is, perhaps, the greatest challenge there is. In Proverbs 16:32 we read: “One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city.” In other words, prevailing against our unruly thoughts and feelings is more difficult than prevailing in military battle or material conquest.
THE COMPLEXITIES OF EMOTIONAL ROOTS
Back in early 2000 I developed what was diagnosed as osteoarthritis in my right knee. The medical professionals recommended a knee replacement. I refused. Instead, I applied essential oils of cypress and wintergreen (with prayers) and after two months my knee was healed. I did not need a knee replacement. A complete account of this healing can be found in the Raindrop Messenger Vol 3, No 4, May 2005, which is archived on the website, http://www.RaindropTraining.com.
After several years of pain-free knees, running and walking hundreds of miles, in January 2006 I began to feel pain in my right knee again. I applied the same oils (cypress and wintergreen) but this time they did not help. I realized that a recurring pain meant that there were still spiritual and emotional issues to be resolved, that either I had not completely resolved them the first time or new issues had come into my life. I prayed for guidance.
An emotional release session revealed to me that some of the new pain in my knee was related to an injury I sustained more than thirty years earlier as a young man. I was running headlong down a steep hill and caught my foot in a buried barbed wire, throwing myself hard onto the ground and twisting my right knee. That injury took several years to heal. During the emotional release when I recalled that incident, I asked of my innate intelligence why I had allowed myself to experience such an “accident,” I got an answer. It had to do with some insecurities I was feeling at the time with the company of the other guys I was running with. My respect for them had caused me to feel unworthy to “run with them” and, hence, I incapacited myself so I would not be able to “run with them” any more. That realization brought instant and total relief to my pain, and I even ran up and down stairways for the next couple of days with no pain. But it did not last. A few days later the pain started to return. I then knew there were other issues unresolved.
With some further emotional releasing, I recalled an earlier incident. Back in 1967 I had accidentally pulled a power mower over my right foot and sliced off the end of my big toe. Here I was in 2006, almost 40 years later, finding out that I was still storing some emotional trauma about that experience. Furthermore, My wife, Lee, and I had noticed over the last 20 years or so that I was getting more and more bowlegged and wondered why. We had noticed that for years my shoes always wore more on the outside edges than on the inside.
It turned out that because of my shortened left big toe, instead of properly pushing off with my big toe when walking, I had unconsciously developed a habit of walking on the outside of my left foot. This caused my right side to compensate and walk on the outside of the right foot also. This put an additional strain on my already weakened right knee which was another contributor to the recurring pain suffered at that location. Upon this realization, release of that trauma, and the conscious development of a new habit to use both of my big toes in walking, the pain in my right knee was further reduced and many days it was completely gone.
But the pain still would come and go. Some days were painless and others were very painful. I also noticed that the pain was not always restricted to the knee, but also extended up the thigh and even down to my ankle. Putting oils on my knee only partially relieved the pain. Then one night I realized that when I lifted my right leg, stretching my lower spine, the pain subsided. I then realized that while the pain was in my right knee and leg, the cause was in my spine. It was a form of sciatica.
Assuming that the problem originated from pinched nerves originating through my sacral vertebrae, I began treating my sacral and hip area with cistus and peppermint oils, which helped. I also looked up the emotional issues related to the sacrum in the book, “Heal Your Body,” by Louise Hay, as well as the causes of sciatica in the book, “Feelings Buried Alive,” by Karol Truman and began doing some spiritual work on myself. I was able to get a good night’s sleep by applying these oils and these spiritual principles and, for the most part, I was pain free, but not entirely. So, I kept praying for insight. “God, I am trying my best to learn the lessons you want for me from this pain, so What is left for me to learn? I need your help?”
Things were progressing well and I was well on the way to complete mending when, about a week before the Young Living Convention in Salt Lake City, September 28-30, 2006, I did something stupid. I was standing on a step ladder to stack some heavy boxes when I decided to put my right foot on a nearby table, leaving my left on the top of the ladder. That is like putting one foot in a canoe and leaving the other on the bank. The canoe will move out and in the water you go. In this case, the ladder tipped over and I fell, wrenching my right hip and knee. I was in pain again in the same knee, this time from a new injury. I used oils and affirmations, but immediate relief did not come. I knew it would heal, but apparently it would take time.
THE IMPORTANCE OF AN ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS
A week after returning from Young Living, on October 7, a massage therapist friend came to visit and mentioned that the chiropractic clinic where she worked was having an open house that day and we should come. She said there was lots of drinks and snacks. Free food was all we needed to hear and my wife and I were off to the open house.
The chiropractor, Dr. Beverly Peters, was offering free spinal scans with her new equipment that measures the electrical currents in your skeletal muscles as well as temperature differences on the skin over the spine. I was in particularly severe pain that day. The electromyogram and thermogram did not show anything significant in the sacral area, but showed extreme inflammation at the lumbar vertebrae–L1, L3, and L5–on the right side. I was astonished and puzzled by the results because I had never had any pain in the lumbar area.
What I learned from Dr. Peters is that pinched nerves in the lumbar area (as well as the sacral area) can result in pains in the thighs, knees, and ankles, just as I had been experiencing. I learned that the location of a pain in our bodies is not necessarily the location of its source. I left her office temporarily confused with the new information on my lumbar. I did not immediately comprehend the significance of what I had learned nor how to make the best use of my new knowledge.
That night, before retiring, I prayed to God for guidance. I said, “God, I am confused. I know my pains are due to some emotional or spiritual deficit on my part, but I don’t know what it is or how to deal with it. Please reveal the truth to me so I can learn whatever spiritual lessons I am to learn. If I am to continue to do your work, I need to be rid of this pain.” The next morning I awoke with the answer. I received a clear message that the chiropractic assessment for the L1, L3, and L5 lumbar was correct and I should look up the emotional and spiritual roots associated with these vertebrae and take appropriate action.
I immediately consulted with Louise Hay’s book, which details the emotions associated with each and every vertebra. I had already consulted her book for the sacral bones, but the affirmations and insights given for the sacrum had not worked. I was focusing on the wrong vertebrae which had led me to the wrong emotional and spiritual issues. With my new knowledge gained by an electro-thermal assessment, I applied the insights and affirmations for L1, L3, and L5, and bingo! My pains were gone within an hour or two and have not been a problem ever since. I sit here painlessly today as I write this article.
It took a correct diagnosis to zero in on the problem and solve it. If I should start to backslide and sense the pain returning, I know I can reaffirm the sayings given by Louse Hay for the issues related to those specific lumbar portions of my spine and the pains will go away.
Several days after the chiropractic clinic open house I went back for another scan (which I paid for this time) and predictably the electro-thermograph showed that the inflammation had almost completely disappeared by then. However, I could see that there was still more work to do, but I feel that finally I have found the last pieces of the puzzle and have a means of attaining and maintaining a permanent healing.
MOST HEALINGS TAKE TIME
The New Testament speaks of various healings by Jesus and his disciples 73 times. We tend to assume that all of these were instantaneous and miraculous. But if you dig into the Greek from which our English Bibles were translated, you find that most of them referred to gradual healing with therapy over time. (See “Healing Oils of the Bible” for more on this.) The reason it often takes time to heal is because it takes time and effort for us to learn the spiritual lessons necessary to allow the healing to take place.
I have learned several spiritual lessons through this experience. Finally, after months of prayer, striving and applying essential oils for physical and emotional assistance, I believe I have finally unraveled my knee problems, which were complex and related to a number of issues, past and present. Along the way I received a series of partial healings, but it has taken time to piece together the whole puzzle facilitated by a resolve to keep praying and searching until the answers are found. Jesus said, “Seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7-8) This is Christ’s promise that our “finding and door opening” is assured if we persist. He did not say how long you may need to “seek and knock.”
I also learned the value of an accurate diagnosis. In 44 years of married life and raising five children, my wife and I have rarely gone to traditional health care providers of any kind for treatment, but have ocassionally gone to get a diagnosis. We prefer to attend to the healing by our own natural, non-medical means, but determining the best course of action, including adjustments in thoughts and attitudes, is greatly facilitated by an accurate diagnosis. Otherwise you can be spending your time in unproductive approaches. The lesson there is that if what you are doing is not working, keep seeking until find something else to do, knowing that a solution is always to be found if we just don’t give up.
This experience makes me realize all the more that our pains and woes are coded messages to gain our attention to nudge us on our way along the spiritual pathway to God. It is not always pleasant nor painless, but when we achieve a victory, we find the peace, joy and presence of God ever closer.
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^
This, again, shows us the significance of treating ourselves as a whole, rather than as individual symptoms. I urge you to consider Mr. Stewart’s article today, and see how you can apply this to your own life. Are you experiencing a repetitive symptom or ailment? I urge you to look to the root cause - dig deep - and see if there is more to it than what lies on the surface.

Q: What is Holistic Health?
A: Holistic Health can be thought of as “whole health” - Looking at the whole of your life and its affects on your overall health, wellness, and wealth - including physical, mental, emotional, monetary, career, relationship, and spiritual health.
Q: Why do you need a holistic health coach?
A: Did you know that when training is combined with coaching, individuals experience a success rate of 88%, as compared to 22% when using training alone.
Your Holistic Health Coach not only provides you the training, but, also the coaching you need, so that you can experience a high level of success in achieving whole, harmonious health & wellness - mind, body, spirit, emotion, career, and monetary.
Our Holistic Health Coaches are trained in a variety of disciplines, so that we are able to assist you in obtaining whole wellness - mind, body, and spirit - instead of single-discipline training (such as only personal training, only nutrition, etc). We specialize in working with you and your lifestyle - giving you the tools you need to experience complete, balanced wellness from the inside out.
Q: I’m healthy in most areas of my life, how would I benefit from coaching?
A: Many people have health in some area of their life. Sometimes, our clients are healthy in many areas of their lives. However, if there is even one area of your life that is not healthy, you are blocking the abundance and potential that you could reach and attain in your life. While we consider health a multi-level experience, we believe that “harmonious health” is a joining of all levels of our self and life, and is the only way to achieve “harmonious wealth”. Even if you have great physical health, if you don’t have spiritual health, then you are not able to fully experience deep and lasting harmonious health or wealth. Or, if you are physically and spiritually health, but, are not monetarily healthy, there is another level on which to work to achieve true harmonious health and wealth. In short, no matter where you are on your health & wellness journey towards harmonious health & wealth, the benefits of holistic health coaching are numerous.
